The New South Wales Film Makers Group is a non-profit member-based group that began due to the downturn in the film industry in NSW. The group was formed to create a platform for film and television practitioners to work with the State and Federal Government and and our Film Agencies in addressing issues within the industry.

We welcome the Premiers announcement on the 9th of March and believe it to be a first step improvement to the industries needs. We are encouraged also that our efforts to heighten Governments awareness to the problems facing our local industry, have been acknowledged.
